Games Set In Africa
There have actually been a fair few games made that are set in Africa and some of them have caused some really big arguments. Here are just the best ones out there at the moment.
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil or Biohazard 5 in Japan was released earlier this year and is of course one of the many games in the Resident Evil survival horror franchise. As ever the game was developed and published by Capcom and strangely enough the game is actually the seventh instalment in the series. Capcom did not put the game into a real African town but a fictional one known as Kijuju. Out of all of the games set in Africa it would seem this one caused the most trouble as in the first trailer the only people you were killing were black people. Thankfully the game was deemed as non racist.
Call Of Duty- World At War
The main story only has a couple of missions that are actually set in Africa but the race row came from the japanese and not the Africans as they thought they were being showed in the wrong way. Nearly everybody is aware of how badly the Japanese treated POW’s.
Far Cry 2
Once again this game is set in a town that is made up. This game was set in 2008 as this was the year that it was released. You play a guy with maleria who is hunting someone known as the jackal. The thing is the Jackal is causing a lot of the problems as he is supplying both sides with weapons. In this game you are free to move and go wherever you please which is what made it such a great game.
If you would like to see where these games got their inspiration from then why not get yourself over to Africa? {Tanzania Holidays, Mozambique Holidays} and of course Lamu Holidays could be the right holiday to take.
