Doing Mafia Wars Job Mastery
When leveling up quickly is your number one goal, focusing on Mafia Wars jobs is an safe, solid strategy. I say safe because fights and robbing will get you leveled up fast too, but you'll likely end up on the hitlist or getting attacked a bunch yourself. Fighting and robbing tend to make your target p.o.’ed (understatement) and vengeful.
Leveling mojo (aka, experience points!) isn’t the only thing jobs deliver. You'll get cash and loot that will help you reinforce your Mafia Wars profile, too. Job loot can assist you in equipping your crew. It could be a weapon, armor, or a vehicle in the loot drop. And sometimes the loot drop will contain items that help you complete the Mafia Wars collection(s) in that specific job tier. And naturally, jobs yield a dollar amount that will help you buy income property that pays your upkeep, which makes jobs an all-around balanced Mafia Wars profile development method.
Job and tier mastery will also get you those precious skill points. Skill points are the life blood of your character building effort. Energy is the place to direct those points if you intend to do the maximum number of jobs and level that way. If not, you could use them to reinforce any of your personal stats that seem to be weak.
The 1st job tier in Mafia Wars is Street thug, so let’s use that for our discussion. The job tiers are linked with certain levels, also. Street Thug tier is connected to players in level 1-4. The top job tier in the New York City Mafia Wars is Boss and it’s for level 100+. These are the jobs for Street Thug Tier (with job ratio): Mugging (1); Corner Store Hold-Up (1); Warehouse Robbery (1); Auto Theft (1.14); Beat Up Rival Gangster (1); Rob A Pimp (1); Collect On A Loan (1).
That's the initial set of jobs designed for you as a newbie. In order to go to mastery in the next tier, you’ll have to master each job at least once. But you can skip around if you achieve the level related to the tier. You can work any job tier you have the level for, but it's easier if you’ve mastered the preceding tiers. Jobs will get harder (prep jobs, consumables, crew needed) and consume more energy as you move up the tiers toward Boss.
Every job in Street Thug tier will need to be mastered by you. Get in the habit of selecting the highest Mafia Wars jobs ratio now by picking Auto Theft! Mastering Auto Theft is going to necessitate that you do it a bunch of times. See the blue bar associated with Auto Theft? That measures your mastery of the particular job. When you’ve mastered Auto Theft, it will be a solid blue bar. Once you've mastered the given job, you'll get a skill point.
Master each job in the tier, and you’ll have completed the 1x mastery. You acquire another skill point and a new title for your character. ”Street Thug MWname” is your earned title.
Don't imagine that you’re [finished with those jobs|put all the jobs out of your mind] once you've mastered a tier! Some jobs have especially yummy loot, money, or experience. You can do sweet jobs even when you’ve leveled up beyond the tier and achieved mastery of it. Street Thug tier isn't particularly packed with the good job yields, but if you want the .22 pistol or 9mm semi, or one of the Diamond cards for a collection, you'll only find them in this tier's loot drops!
If you make the time to master every job in the tier for a 2nd go round, you'll get the second award of mastery for Street Thug. The reward for your mastery is 8 additional skill points to allocate, a “Skilled Street Thug” title, and a five percent increase in the loot drop for jobs in the thug tier.
Grin and bear it in order to master each job for the 3rd time and you'll receive more skill points and the top title for the tier, "Master Street Thug Don Default." And 10% additional job loot. Best of all, you get five percent experience bonus for any the jobs you do in Street Thug henceforth.
There’s additional reward for achieving mastery of the tier three times – the bonus item. The bonus item for Street Thug triple mastery is the Pistol Bayonet; it increases the damage you inflict in a fight by 4%. Mastery bonus items are usually amazing.
Here’s a thought: When you take the time to master each job tier 3x in NYC Mafia Wars, you’ll get two hundred nineteen skill points. Wicked cool!
